Not all fats are bad and you can include the good ones in your low fat diet plans. However, not because they are good, you can consume as much as you want. Even though they are good, they still have high amounts of calories, so it is important to take them moderately and in considerable amounts only.
Good fats include polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats which can help lower blood cholesterol. It is recommended by the American Heart Association that your total fat intake should be made up mostly of unsaturated fats and the amount should not go over 25% to 35% of your total daily calorie intake.

It fiber that helps lower cholesterol and gets rid of the unwanted fats in the food you eat. The thing to remember if you are looking for low fat diet plans is to minimize the calories you consume while maximizing on fiber-rich foods.
Diet plans that have high fiber in them usually have fruits, vegetables and whole grain cereals in them. The fiber in these foods will make you feel full for a long period of time so losing weight and toning your body is easier.
